Tom Moore, CEOThe company works to not only revamp the method by which HR agencies recruit new employees but also empowers struggling job seekers to take control over their career paths. With either self-paced or blended training programs, users’ abilities are matched against every tech career available on the platform. On receiving the results, they can then choose a career with a high competency score and proceed with their relevant training. The self-paced program is adaptive to the user’s learning preferences and intuitively adjusts the regimen depending on the candidate’s aptitude score. On the other hand, if users prefer a more supervised training module, WYWM offers a boot camp program where the skills of a candidate are tested in a practical lab. Using the results based off their aptitude, skillsets, and personalities, the WYWM team helps the candidate land a role in an organization where they can grow exponentially.
On the other end of the employment spectrum, WYWM works with recruiters and talent managers to advertise job openings and recruit as many eligible workers as possible. For a fixed rate, recruiters can advertise as many jobs as they desire. Furthermore, WYWM works with the recruiters to comprehend the skills required for available positions and creates appropriate job descriptions. This saves a considerable amount of time for recruiting departments. “One of our customers, with over 1200 recruiters, saves around 25,000 hours a year in recruitment automation alone,” states Moore.
WYWM’s recruiter flow allows talent hunters to build customised interviews and tests to hire the right candidate. With personality testing, aptitude assessments, organic skills tests, and automated interview processes, recruiters can be sure that even an applicant with no prior experience still has the right attitude for the job opening. Helping candidates even further, WYWM remains transparent in its recruitment processes, whereby users can stay aware of all the details of an upcoming interview.
We aim to create a trend where a candidate’s potential is given more attention than their experience and backgrounds. That’s what we are all about
To help talent managers build an efficient team, WYWM provides a team manager flow that expedites talent development, digital transformation, and talent mobility. A prospective leader looking to assemble a new team can add the skills and headcount they require into WYWM’s platform. It will then match the best candidates based on skills and personalities from a pool of full-time, contingent, and contracted workforces.
In the same vein, Moore explains a client interaction where WYWM proved vital in enabling the growth of an organization. The client had an IT team of 3500 people and aimed to add another 1000 to the workforce. Upon releasing WYWM’s skill-testing program, it was found that over half of the existing talent did not have entry-level skills and had not kept up with modern technologies in their industry. Also, 17.5 percent of the team were assigned to antiquated clerical roles that would soon be replaced by automation. Thus, they were heavily reliant on a contracted workforce. Using WYWM’s services, the client trained 435 members of its clerical staff within 90 days to be data analysts and data engineers. Noticing further discrepancies in the IT workforce, more staff were trained to fill roles in low code development and cloud administration engineering. In the next 12 months, the customer intends to use WYWM’s platform to upskill more employees to meet the rising demand for tech talent.
As an organization focused on inducing a positive social impact, WYWM offers its services at no charge to neurodiverse candidates, military veterans, or underemployed backgrounds. “Our company was founded by two veterans who went through the struggle of transitioning out of the military as they moved into civilian life,” says Moore. In Australia, it takes an average of five years for a graduate to land a well-paying job. Also, the underemployment rate in the country is over 39 percent. Moore and the founders of WYWM founded their company to tackle this stark yet overlooked problem in the modern recruitment market, and in turn, have successfully helped thousands of candidates land jobs that not only match their skillset but also compensate them adequately. “We aim to create a trend where a candidate’s potential is given more attention than their experience and backgrounds. That’s what we are all about,” concludes Moore.
