Initially, when ResNav was founded in 1999, it was only involved in data migrations from one payroll system to another and developing a time attendance system with remote monitoring. At that time, web-based and remote services were not as common as they are today. However, gradually witnessing the evolving needs of clients, ResNav decided to venture into online payroll and HR services outsourcing in 2001, leveraging its expertise in the space. The company developed the History Viewer solution to provide HR professionals the ability to migrate employment and talent history to ResNav’s secure web-based application that can be integrated with any platform seamlessly. Conventionally, when companies move from one vendor to another, important historical information needs to be transferred to the new solution. But, in most cases, data is often left on spreadsheets or PDF files and needs to be extracted separately, leading to unconsolidated reports, which pose a threat to data integrity.
“We automate the process of sharing information across platforms with precision and accuracy while also maintaining resource history of several years,” says Cary Cote, COO of ResNav.
ResNav also offers a position control system to track information based on positions rather than employees, unlike most HR systems that are employee-centric. ResNav’s Position Control System enables managers to evaluate staffing needs over time, project preliminary budget figures, and balance workloads. A large vendor is presently reselling the Position Control System, and similarly, other vendors are interested in white labeling and selling ResNav’s CollegeTime solution. CollegeTime provides an effective workflow process for both faculty and students in institutions to manage the amount and contracts for grants. It generates grant status reports and controls tax treaties for academic institutions.
Over the years, ResNav has been successful in helping large vendors fill market gaps based on customer needs. For instance, the company has built a specific POS connector solution for McDonald’s and Dunkin’ Donuts, known as the McLink and DnD Connector respectively. Data from these companies’ POS systems can be easily uploaded to a payroll outsourcing provider’s system resulting in savings amounting to thousands of dollars every year. Since its inception, ResNav has served over 12000 organizations from a variety of verticals, yet it continues to evolve its solution, anticipating future demands.
