This recent collaboration builds upon the longstanding partnership between Qmerit and General Motors (GM), a cooperation that has yielded successful initiatives, including charging installations for both retail and GM Envolve commercial customers.
GM Energy's array of residential products represents the company's inaugural energy management solutions available to residential customers. These solutions are crafted to offer enhanced energy independence, resilience, and overall value. They empower users to leverage backup power for essential home needs in situations where energy from the grid is unavailable.
Qmerit's outstanding assessment platform and its extensive national network of certified electricians will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and efficient installation process for GM Energy's comprehensive suite of residential electrification products and technologies. This suite includes notable offerings such as the GM Energy PowerShift Charger and the GM Energy V2H Enablement Kit.
When combined with GM's Energy Cloud software, these components will empower customers to manage bidirectional energy flows among the electric vehicle (EV), home, and stationary storage. This functionality not only serves as a power source during outages but also provides day-to-day energy flexibility, allowing the storage of excess power from the grid or solar panels for later use.
