ASEAN businesses and job seekers in the retail sector face the Singapore office of World Mode Holdings (WMH), offering various solutions to industries, starting with hiring retail professionals and helping them advance their skills through a special training programme.
FREMONT, CA: In order to address the human resource issues ASEAN businesses and job seekers in the retail sector face, the Singapore office of World Mode Holdings (WMH), a Japanese company that offers a variety of solutions to the fashion and beauty industries, started hiring retail professionals and helping them advance their skills through a special training programme.
In order to meet work requirements such as length of employment, skill set, and experience as a full-time employee, the Retail Ambassador Program was established to flexibly connect professional retail staff with diverse businesses. The initial recruitment campaign will aim to hire 1000 people, but we plan to grow the programme as we carefully consider employers' and job seekers' comments.
The COVID-19 pandemic's impact on e-commerce, as well as migrant employees' return to their home countries have made the talent crisis in the retail sector worse. Companies have historically relied on temporary workers to reduce the long-established high turnover rate in the retail sector, leading to a lack of training for sales professionals. This has meant that employees have had to deal with an uncertain work environment while getting adequate benefits.
The Retail Ambassador Program was introduced by iDA'SG to address the problems caused by these practices. Through this project, iDA'SG employed job-seekers in the retail sector and gave them the opportunity to grow professionally through a distinctive training programme. Companies can find the best human resources for their working environment without having to perform their recruitment processes by submitting a request to iDA'SG. Additionally, employees can transfer to the company in question with the consent of both sides, minimising the likelihood of employees and companies being an improper match.
To assure their responsiveness to the always changing retail business, iDA'SG, which beliefs in continual learning and skills development, has created a number of educational courses on subjects including beauty, personal development, and visual merchandising. These training programmes help professional retail staff members hone their abilities, so they can immediately become Retail Ambassadors who can contribute to better customer service and be an asset to their workplaces.
