THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING
Matt Norbury, Founder and CEODespite this understanding, today, the debate around whether employers are paying the much-needed attention towards employees’ financial health has reached a whole new level. The reason? The COVID-19 pandemic. Ever since the pandemic hit, people have not only been worried about their physical and mental health safety but also fiscal security. With the global economy taking a massive plunge, businesses going through one of the biggest downturns in decades, and a greater section of professionals losing their jobs or working for depreciated salaries, employees have started turning to their employers seeking a financial safety net. The traditional financial wellness action plans, in that regard, need a facelift to meet the requisites of the new normal. Helping employers construct such out-of-the-box financial wellbeing solutions is where Each Person cements its cornerstone.
As the name suggests, the company’s mission is to make each and every person (employee) feel appreciated in an organisation. And what better way to do it other than supporting the employee’s financial security goals, making them happier, and hence, more productive. “We do this through a fully functioning recognition and rewards platform that looks after employees’ financial wellbeing as much as it looks after social and mental wellbeing,” underscores Matt Norbury, founder and CEO of Each Person.
This, however, is not the only aspect that makes the company unique. The company’s mission is to help employers look after their people and the planet. Through its rewards and recognition platform, the company also enables employers to tackle critical environmental topics like climate change by partnering with forward-thinking companies like Carbon Footprint Ltd. “Besides giving five percent of our profit for eco-friendly causes, we also plant a tree for every employee we help” comments Norbury. On top of this, Each Person gives companies and their people the opportunity to help mitigate climate change and donate to planting trees!
How it All Began…
Interestingly, the legacy of Each Person’s innovative thinking towards financial wellbeing started when Norbury first developed a reward programme, Ecards, a creative avenue to appreciate the employees’ efforts and boost their self-esteem through positive reinforcement.
The reason? According to reports, over 17 million people in the UK have savings of less than 100 pounds with many in debt, which incur high-interest rates. In such cases, The Epoints Savings Club is the solution that effectively addresses it. By enabling employees to link their salary and have a small part of savings with six percent interest per annum, employees can use this savings and interest to buy various products online and on the high street whilst earning up to 30 percent cashback each time. Observing such features, Global Data (a consumer research company) cited that 76 percent of UK shoppers should adopt Each Person as a savings platform of choice in the next five years.
A Proven Testament to Each Person’s Capabilities
At this juncture, how Each Person’s recognition and reward platform is helping employers can be best explained through a case study. While working with Bupa Global Healthcare, Each Person enabled them to demonstrate their appreciation to their employees by making every member of the team across the UK feel a part of a special community. Most notably, Each Person provided the client with the flexibility on how rewards are assigned, saved, and reported on. As a result, the client was able to deliver value to the employees, while also having full visibility and measure on the employees rewarded. The end result was that the employer was able to reward their employees in the most efficient way, ensuring their engagement and retention.
This is but one of the numerous success stories that Each Person has crafted over the years. The company is continuously looking for innovative solutions to ensure that companies can look after their people whilst looking after the planet. Moving ahead, the company is excited about the future to plant millions of trees whilst helping people save their money and time. “We are also becoming a global platform and rolling out to several countries next month; and throughout 2022, we will focus on delivering rewards on a truly global scale,” concludes Norbury.
