Leadership Approach and Advancements in HR

I currently lead global HR systems and data strategy at Lincoln Electric. My background spans payroll, finance and HR business partnership, which gives me a well-rounded perspective that balances operational detail with strategic foresight.

Today, my team manages HR technology, data, reporting and analytics for a workforce of more than 13,000 employees across 38 countries. We support a wide range of platforms, including human capital management (HCM), payroll, timekeeping and analytics systems, while also driving HR project delivery across the organization. Our mission is to ensure that technology empowers our people, supports strategic goals and strengthens business outcomes through actionable insights.

My leadership style is rooted in collaborationand continuous improvement. I believe in evolving thoughtfully, making sure our systems, processes and people move forward together. I am proud of how Lincoln Electric continues to grow in a way that is both strategic and human-centered. For me, success is about ensuring technology truly serves our people as much as it serves the business. I focus on creating an inclusive environment where teams feel empowered to innovate, collaborate and deliver meaningful impact at every stage of transformation. Artificial intelligence and skills-based workforce planning are two major trends reshaping the HR landscape. These developments are changing how we think about talent, performance and development. We are actively exploring how to use technology to better understand and support our people, ensuring that innovation aligns with the employee experience and business goals. Additionally, data - driven decision-making and predictive analytics are helping organizations move from reactive to proactive talent management, which ultimately improves retention, engagement and productivity across the board.

Technology Implementation and Addressing Challenges in HR

We have learned that successful technology implementation depends heavily on how well people are supported through change. That is why organizational change management (OCM) is central to everything we do. For every major initiative, we include dedicated internal resources and external partners to help guide strategy and execution. Our goal is not just to deliver technology, but to help people feel confident and equipped to use it effectively. We also focus on continuous feedback and post-implementation support to refine processes and drive adoption.

“At the heart of this evolution is innovation—not just in tools and platforms, but in how we think about people, potential, and progress.”

One of the more complex challenges is integrating HR systems across a decentralized global organization. It is not just about connecting technology; it is about aligning processes and building consensus. My approach emphasizes collaboration, listening and finding practical ways to simplify and standardize without losing what makes each region unique. It is a delicate balance, but one that ensures the system supports everyone effectively. Clear communication, strong governance and phased rollouts have also proven essential to achieving sustainable results.

Advice to Emerging HR Technology Leaders

Stay curious and open to learning. Do not be afraid to try new things or experiment with technology that can drive better outcomes. Work closely with your internal customers, be responsive and focus on solving real problems. That is how you build trust and credibility. A mindset of curiosity and service can go a long way in this field. Moreover, invest time to understand the business strategy and how HR technology can directly contribute to its success. This alignment turns HR from a support function into a true strategic partner.
