Sydney - WORKTECH, the pioneering events series shaping the future of work, is returning to Sydney on 31st July for a full day of insights, strategy and peer connection focused on the future of work, workplace design, technology and wellbeing.

One of the themes the upcoming conference is set to explore is thriving. According to the World Economic Forum, thriving work environments enhance productivity and positively impact employees’ lives. Similarly, Gallup’s latest report highlights that engaged and thriving employees are more productive, innovative and committed to their organisations.

The drivers of real wellbeing are belonging, inclusion and energy, and according to the 2024 Global Work Wellbeing Report Australian workplaces below the expected threshold all three, meaning employees are more likely to feel disconnected at work even when other conditions like salary, perks and flexibility are met.

From Languishing to Flourishing–In his first speaking engagement in Australia, David Dewane, Chief Experience Officer at geniant and Adjunct Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology, will explore the characteristics of languishing and provide insights on how to transform employee experiences towards flourishing.

Novel Methodologies to Examine the Effects of Workspace on Creativity and Performance–Dr Libby Sander, Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour, Bond University, presents recent research that examines how workspace design, creative styles and environmental factors affect employee outcomes.

Inside the Enterprise: How Leading Organisations are Reframing Workplace Value–Kate Dodd, Founder, Intent Strategy; Scott Juza, Head of Workspace, Hall & Wilcox; Rabinder Singh, Director, Workplace Experience, Mastercard; Catherine Sullivan, Head of Workplace, Westpac will share insights on how they are rethinking the role of place, from reshaping employee expectations to balancing culture, performance and flexibility.
