New module designed to help teams executing customer-facing projects better plan, forecast, and allocate resources.
FREMONT, CA: Resource management guarantees that resource managers have on-demand, real-time visibility over people and other resources, granting them greater delivery control. Rocketlane, the industry-leading client onboarding platform, has added resource management functionality to its platform. The new module will assist leaders in prioritizing task requests, gaining a proper perspective of demand and capacity, allocating the appropriate resources to work, and determining which roles or skill sets to employ. Resource management will naturally enhance enterprise utilization rates, dramatically expanding team output and productivity.
“Today, there is increasing pressure on businesses to deliver innovative, technologically advanced products and services while staying within shrinking budgets. As a result, resources must be fully utilized and focused on the highest priorities at any given time,” says Srikrishnan Ganesan, co-founder of Rocketlane. “Rocketlane's resource management module will improve operational efficiencies for businesses, helping leaders have a foolproof mechanism for better resource allocation, management, and forecasting.”
The module works with the platform's native time tracking tools to provide current project and individual allocations. Color-coded blocks denote utilization rates and soft and hard allocations. Resource managers can assign resources to projects with a single click based on their roles and skill sets. In addition, the technology intuitively computes demand, enabling accurate forecasting by teams.
“For a 300+ member strong professional services team, it requires robust resource planning to dynamically match capabilities to needs as accurately and efficiently as possible,” states Shekar Murthy, Chief Customer Officer at Yellow.ai, a Rocketlane customer. “With Rocketlane's new resource management capabilities, we can easily see everyone's schedule, optimize the utilization rates, and get unique insights needed to make more strategic staffing decisions that improve business performance.”
Rocketlane's exceptional templatization skills continue to improve with the addition of placeholders for resources in project templates. Teams may automate resource allocations for new projects produced from templates and even use the native Salesforce integration to trigger the creation of new projects with mapped resources when a deal is closed.
