FREMONT, CA: The 10th annual National Employee Engagement Survey by survey solution company Netigate revealed that employees within banking, finance, and IT industries had ranked their leadership in workplaces highly when compared to other Swedish industries. The online-based survey platform company, established in 2005, has helped more than 3,500 organizations stay ahead of the competition in terms of talent engagement, customer satisfaction, and market share." The survey, titled 'Swedish Workspaces 2019,' shows that people working in banking, finance, and IT have scored their managers well, especially in areas of goal setting, giving feedback, and how well the manager motivates employees. "It is clear that employees in these industries are scoring their workplace and their management highly, compared to the other industries we have surveyed," says Alexandra Drottler, Senior Analytic and Employee Experience Manager at Netigate. "Other factors, such as the physical work environment, are also rated highly."
However, these same sectors have scored poorly compared to other industries surveyed for the question 'I am always trying my best at work.' Employees within the healthcare and care working spaces have received top scores when it comes to this question. The education sector stands out when it comes to how workplaces are working with stress-related issues, and if there is enough time to carry out given work. The question of having enough time to do the work received the lowest scores in this sector, while whether the workplaces handle stress issues seriously comes in second place. The education section thereby scores the worst, followed by the transport and logistics industry.
"Teachers and others within the education sector are significantly more engaged at work than the average employee across all industries," says Alexandra Drottler. "At the same time, they are giving the lowest scores regarding stress and workload. This is a worrying combination that can lead to employees quitting, or in the worst-case scenario, are signed off unable to work due to stress-related illnesses."
