As the HR sector pushes the boundaries towards the next level, new trends will reshape the industry, transforming the working structure.
FREMONT, CA: The past few years have redefined HR in several ways and facilitated a transition from traditional to modern HR management. From the initial move towards remote work to the great reopening followed by great resignation and talent shortages, economic disruption and organisations were continuous rather than episodic. While the previous years were a time of fighting against the pandemic and rebuilding HR to solidify its new role, in the coming years, there will be an HR boundary push to the next level. This will happen as new trends dominate the talent market, and organisations need to catch up to speed.
Hybrid Working Models
The new working schedule for a few days at the office and at home has become comfortable for everyone. As this model is an employee-centric flexible working method, the rise in job satisfaction and employee engagement is widely visible across industries. The hybrid environment’s primary benefit is that the alignment and communication between employees will have fewer challenges. On the other hand, employees’ work-life balance will be easily managed. However, to maintain this structure, companies should develop infrastructures enabling this model.
With the current job trends and many people opting for hybrids, it is apparent that hybrid work will prevail for a longer period. Even organisations invent their policies and infrastructure to facilitate hybrid work. Employers and employees together set the foundation for a hybrid in the near future.
The Rise in HR Technology
HR professionals rapidly integrate tech into their work systems, and tech-powered HR is set to be the future. If conventional HR has to break its limitations and explore the full potential of talent management, it should focus on talent intelligence.
Talent intelligence is at the forefront of HR technology, and there will be massive growth in this technology. Talent intelligence is an ideal combination of talent management with artificial intelligence backed by data. Data, combined with necessary intelligence, facilitate data-driven decision-making, which attracts HR.
Increasing applicant tracking systems, recruitment platforms, reskilling simulators, and workforce planning platforms will transform traditional talent management. As a result, many companies started deploying talent intelligence platforms for talent, highlighting a strong move towards AI-powered talent management.
Every industry is starting to experience a critical talent gap in the future, and there is a need to reskill or upskill. Today, traditional job roles are becoming obsolete, and new-age job roles are emerging with new technologies like AI, ML, AR, VR, cloud, data science, IoT, etc. As the working nature changes and conventional jobs rapidly become antiquated, organisations have the responsibility to develop a workforce embedded with in-demand skills, keeping up with emerging trends.
