FREMONT, CA: The digital employee experience becomes just as vital as the physical one, with the pandemic putting additional strain on aspects of work such as well-being, culture, and training when talent competition is severe. The conventional emphasis placed on in-office benefits is rapidly disappearing as hybrid work grows more widespread and employees become less physically centered. This dynamic is changing the way businesses work. Employees would be more likely to look for another job if they were obliged to return to the workplace full-time, placing additional pressure on companies to adjust. As a result, they're playing an increasingly important role in attracting and retaining fresh talent, developing workplace culture, increasing productivity, and more.
Identify the experience gaps
Experience data is essential to measuring and understanding employees' feelings to build a productive and attractive workplace in this new era. Employers can make informed decisions about improving employee experience by combining privacy-protected operational data with experience data, such as the number of meetings held each week or the number of messages sent. Digital experiences are also subject to this approach. If employees work remotely or in a hybrid environment, employers should ask if they have the right tools.
Taking action is essential
Leadership must look at the big picture rather than making decisions in silos, as all employees have valuable insights and feedback to contribute. Transparency is also required regarding priorities and progress. A positive feedback loop is created due to communication and transparency working together. There is no doubt that employee experience platforms play an essential role in improving employee engagement, enhancing employees' access to learning, and promoting their well-being, but they aren't the only solution.
