DECEMBER 2015HR TECH OUTLOOK6It is no secret that hiring the best people is the way to boost organizational success. Global recruiting leaders have cited quality of hire as a top priority, and the most valuable metric for measuring a recruiting team's performance. Few years back, referrals were the best channel for sourcing quality hires. Today, with the evolution of LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Glassdoor, and a variety of other tools and channels, companies have evolved from the candidate relationship management model to building a talent network from which they can recruit the best fits. This talent network is not just a place to post jobs; it's a place to attract people, including fans, candidates, employees, alumni, and even customers. In addition, a whole barrage of exciting tools has been created to help companies better find and source key candidates. From stand-alone systems to integrated offerings, there are solutions available to meet every organization's talent needs. Interesting tools are out there looking at the potential hire's social footprint to evaluate technical prowess. These tools mine personal code postings and other social information to create a profile and actual "competency ratings" based on social data. In addition, a new breed of tools is emerging which are focused on managing the entire recruitment process, monitoring ad campaigns, and creating an excellent candidate experience.
