MobieTrain raises 1 Million Euros for Its innovative Mobile Learning Platform

It is surprising, yet true; 80 percent of employees forget what they learn after a month. Adding fuel to the knowledge crisis is the amount of domain-specific facts that each employee has to learn in a short time, which can prove overwhelming. The traditional training model is no longer sufficient for organizations focused on bridging this knowledge gap. Enter MobieTrain, which meets the challenge head-on, with their mobile-first, micro-learning platform that delivers short bursts of training that boosts knowledge retention in only 5 minutes per day.

In the recent capital round, MobieTrain has raised one million Euros from Limburg Investment Company LRM, ING, and a number of private investors. This development is another seal of approval on MobieTrain’s capability to simplify the learning process.

The micro-learning platform of MobieTrain consists of three components with the first being Content Management System (CMS). The CMS empowers customers to transform their learning content into mobile learning paths. The second component is a web application that delivers the training content to employees. The web application combines micro-learning and gamification to engage and empower employees to drive their development. As MobieTrain is first focused on the retail industry, the third component of the company’s platform is a comprehensive dashboard that provides business-critical data and insights into activity and engagement levels to showcase knowledge gaps within the organization.

MobieTrain now wants to use the fresh funding to further develop their product by combining intelligent tools like artificial intelligence and social learning to increase personalization of learning paths. The company also plans to use the capital injection to double its team to focus on marketing and the international roll-out of the platform. Guy Van Neck, CEO of MobieTrain says, “We are already very active in the retail sector, and we want to strengthen our position in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. But our platform is, of course, applicable in every sector, such as automotive or banking. So there is also immense growth potential. We want to focus strongly on the launch in Europe in the coming months, and the Middle East is also on our radar. We will start right away at Unleash London on 19th-20th March.”

The company has already gained widespread recognition for its innovative knowledge platform and has been recognized as “Top 10 HR Tech Solution Providers In Europe-2018” by HR Tech Outlook.
